Brock reached a milestone of 3 million OSHA recordable free work hours at the CITGO facility in Lake Charles, LA, on October 1, 2014. This was Brock’s second major safety achievement at the site this year, the first being its attainment of five years of OSHA recordable free work hours in April.

“I’m incredibly proud of our CITGO Lake Charles team for this tremendous achievement,” Bob Pragada, president and CEO of The Brock Group, said. “Safety is at the core of Brock’s execution of all projects and maintenance activities, and this team demonstrates the importance we place on safety.”

Brock began providing painting and lead removal services at CITGO Lake Charles in July 2000 with 50 employees on site. The subsequent addition of insulation, asbestos removal, and scaffolding responsibilities resulted in growth to more than 400 employees. In 2011, during a major turnaround and maintenance project, Brock reached a peak of more than 700 employees on site.

The Brock Group is a leading provider of industrial specialty services to clients around the world, with headquarters in Houston, TX, and operating units in Canada, the United States and Latin America. The company supports routine maintenance, turnarounds and capital projects by providing services including scaffolding and work access, insulation, coatings/linings, instrumentation, and electrical and heat tracing.
