Dow Gulfstream GUST-K052

New construction of PDH Unit, Control Room, and PUI Piping System at an existing Dow facility. The project was completed over a two year period, encompassing more than 15 million work hours and 12 million feet of new steel structure.

OBJECTIVES
Working through Fluor, the general contractor, our objective was to meet the schedule by providing all scaffold and planning in support of every phase of construction for all crafts.

RESULTS
Brock expanded shifts from the original projection of 50 workhours/week to include nights, weekends, and 12-hour shifts as required by schedule demands. Brock was able to maintain staffing levels in a challenging labor market that peaked at more than 500 FTEs. Brock constructed more than 2.68 million ELF of scaffold totaling 550,000 pieces of material and achieved targeted goals for schedule compliance.

Brock erected individual piperacks of several thousand linear feet, built towers up to 400 vertical feet, and had 46% of total scaffolds built hanging at elevations of up to 230 feet.

Brock met the needs of the changing scope and completed more than 1 million OSHA-free exposure work-hours.
