Brock recently participated in the Service Academy Career Conference (SACC), meeting candidates representing an array of backgrounds including supply chain management, finance, operations, construction, leadership positions in the military and other technical areas of expertise.
Brock Named “Best in Category” at Houston Safety Awards
Brock was named the “Best in Category” Specialty Contractor – Soft Crafts Large at the Houston Safety Awards Banquet hosted by the Houston Business Roundtable (HBR) and Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) on May 15, 2015, at Moody Gardens in Galveston, TX. Brock received more nominations for the award than any other company, from customers including Celanese; Chevron Phillips – Cedar Bayou, Sweeny, and Pasadena; Dow Chemical – Freeport and LaPorte; Eastman Chemicals; ExxonMobil; Flint Hill Resources; INEOS Olefins and Polymers; LyondellBasell; and Shell.
Brock Receives AFPM Contractor Award for Meritorious Safety Performance
Brock Industrial Services was awarded the Contractor Award for Meritorious Safety Performance by The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) on May 13. The award recognizes maintenance contractors working a minimum of 20,000 hours per calendar year at a regular AFPM member facility which has achieved a total record-able incidence rate of 0.6 or less with no workplace related fatality during the calendar year.
Brock Receives Contractor’s Safety Excellence Award from Gulf Coast Safety Council
Brock received the Gulf Coast Safety Council’s (GCSC) Contractor’s Safety Excellence Award for specialty contractors at the GCSC annual awards banquet held April 28, 2014 in New Orleans, LA. The Contractor’s Safety Excellence Award honors contractors and owners that have achieved an outstanding record for safety performance with greater than 100,000 work hours. Nominated by the Shell/Motiva Manufacturing Complex in Norco, LA, Brock employees at that site have worked for 11 ½ years and more than 6.2 million work hours without a single record-able injury.
