This past weekend, Brock employees participated in the Houston Tour de Cure supporting the American Diabetes Association. James Alexander, Director of Talent Acquisition & Compliance Qualifications completed the 36 Mile Bike and received a special plaque for competing in this event for 10 consecutive years. Destiny Wright, Compliance Coordinator, completed the 5K Run/Walk for the 2nd year in a row. Together the team reached their goal of raising $1,000 for the charity.
Doug Preston Awarded with Brock’s Gold Coin
Brock team member, Doug Preston, was awarded with Brock’s Gold Coin for stepping up at a crucial moment during a major site outage commenced at Covanta in Burnaby, British Columbia. Without hesitation Doug rose to the occasion and provided crucial leadership at a key time. The client acknowledged Doug’s leadership for executing at a higher level with a lower cost than previous outages. Joe Brickner presented Doug with a Gold Coin for demonstrating Brock’s culture of caring by taking charge of the event.
Brock Knows How to Tailgate!
This past weekend, Brock had the opportunity to sponsor the McNeese State University Petrochem Athletic Association Tailgate. The team provided sausage dogs, chips, and drinks. It was a successful event for networking, community involvement, and customer relationships.
Winning Streak for Brock Industrial
The Brock Industrial team at the Bayway Refinery in Linden, New Jersey, was given the Contractor Achievement Award and the award for Exceptional Safety Performance in the Petroleum Refining & Petrochemical Manufacturing Industry. This marks 5 years in a row, since being onsite as of 2013. Congratulations to Gabriel DeLatte and the site crew for receiving these awards.
